Flipper Zero’s account with PayPal was terminated permanently with $1.3 million on hold

The business account of Flipper Zero has been disabled by PayPal, and the company has been withholding more than $1.3 million from the company for more than two months without providing an explanation as to why it is unhappy. Because of this, the whole production of Flipper Zero was put in jeopardy. (Flipper Zero is a hacking tool and portable Tamagotchi-like multi-functional device developed for interaction with access control systems.)

On June 7th, Flipper Zero began offering products for sale via their online shop. More than half of Flipper Zero’s client base opted to pay through PayPal despite the company offering two different ways for consumers to make payments directly via their credit cards or through PayPal.

Following a brief period of time during which they were doing sales, PayPal kicked off the compliance procedure by requesting certain documentation from Flipper Zero, which was promptly supplied by the latter. After that, PayPal sought some other papers, which were also provided by FlipperZero. However, as a consequence of all of this, Flipper Zero’s account with PayPal was terminated permanently. They discussed the matter with PayPal support employees, but they have not received a satisfactory response about the information that the compliance team need from Flipper Zero.

Now, Flipper Zero has to pay for fresh manufacturing batches, and having the money to do so is essential to the company’s ability to continue operating. They are asking members of their community to let them know if there is anybody who has direct connections with PayPal’s internal staff and is able to affect the issue in some way.
