ASUS currently has no plans to introduce new smartphone models in 2026: Reports

Shocked reading the headline? Well, ASUS has been introducing new smartphones under the Zenfone or ROG lineups, but it appears that the company is now planning to slow down a bit in the smartphone industry.

In 2025, the company introduced only two devices- the Zenfone 12 Ultra and ROG Phone 9 FE, and then no new devices were introduced. There is some bad news for ASUS fans; reportedly, the company does not plan to introduce any new smartphones this year.

According to a report by Digitimes, ASUS has clearly communicated to telecom channels that its smartphone operations will continue and that upgrades and warranty services for all existing products will not be affected. Still, the company revealed that it currently has no plans to introduce new smartphone models in 2026.

The company will maintain its current operating model and continue to provide comprehensive after-sales support for all ASUS smartphone users, including warranty coverage and software updates.

It appears that ASUS has adjusted its product planning in recent months, as it was noted that ROG was included in Qualcomm’s list of end-device partners when it released the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor in September 2025.
