Ultraviolette Rolls Out Ballistic+ Riding Mode Update for F77 Series Electric Motorcycles

Ultraviolette has rolled out a new software update for its electric motorcycles, making both the  F77 Mach 2 and F77 SuperStreet models. The update adds a Ballistic+ riding mode that gives riders quicker acceleration and a more exciting ride.
The update brings a new throttle map and Gen3 powertrain firmware, which means smoother torque and stronger performance. Ballistic+ mode especially improves how the F77 Mach 2 feels at low speeds, making it more lively and responsive when starting out. Despite these upgrades, both motorcycles maintain their main features: a 30 kW motor producing 90 Nm torque, 155 kmph top speed, and a 7.1 kWh battery offering a 211 km range (claimed) per charge.

Some key specifications include:

  • Acceleration: 0-100 kmph in 7.8 seconds
  • Motor: Permanent Magnet AC Motor
  • Weight: 197 kg kerb weight
  • ABS: Dual-channel ABS system
  • Display: 5-inch TFT multi-function display

The F77 Mach 2 and F77 SuperStreet are currently available in the Indian market with prices ranging from ₹2.99 lakh to ₹3.99 lakh. The software update with the new Ballistic+ riding mode is available free of charge for existing F77 owners, and the pricing for both models remains unchanged despite the performance enhancement. While deliveries for the two models are ongoing, it is not clear if the recently unveiled Ultraviolette Shockwave and Tesseract will get the Ballistic+ mode when they arrive next year. Still, this update shows Ultraviolette is focused on giving customers better performance and value, and hints at more innovations to come.
