TVS Orbiter V1 with 1.8 kWh Battery and 86 km IDC Range Announced in India; Battery as a Service (BaaS) Option Also Available

TVS Motor Company officially announced the TVS Orbiter V2 on August 28, 2025, and the company has now introduced a more affordable variant, the TVS Orbiter V1, in India.

TVS Orbiter V1 – Specs and Features
The TVS Orbiter electric scooter features a minimalist design aimed at everyday urban commuting. It offers an IDC-certified range of up to 86 km and comes with a long 845 mm flat seat designed to improve comfort for both the rider and pillion. The scooter includes a straight-line footboard with around 290 mm usable space, along with an upright handlebar that supports a relaxed riding posture. It also features crystal LED headlamps and an aerodynamic body design intended to improve efficiency and stability during rides. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.5 kW BLDC hub motor, reaching a top speed of 68 km/h and can accelerate from 0–40 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
Speaking about comfort and convenience, it includes cruise control, hill hold assist, reverse parking assist and dual ride modes (Eco and City/Power). It is equipped with a connected LCD instrument cluster(Bluetooth Support) and supports the TVS SmartXonnect mobile app, allowing riders to access vehicle information directly on their smartphone. The connectivity system also enables features such as geofencing and crash and fall alerts for added safety. According to the company, the scooter has undergone more than 600 safety tests to ensure durability and reliability.
The TVS Orbiter V1 uses a 1.8 kWh battery pack and delivers an IDC-certified range of 86 km, while the TVS Orbiter V2 (launched in August 2025) comes with a 3.1 kWh battery that increases the IDC range to 158 km. Charging from 0% to 80% takes around 2 hours and 20 minutes on the V1, while the V2 requires approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Pricing and Availability
In terms of pricing, the TVS Orbiter V1 is listed with an ex-showroom price of ₹88,250 in Delhi, including GST and the charger. After applying the PM E-Drive subsidy of ₹3,750 and the Delhi state subsidy of ₹7,500, the effective on-road price comes to approximately ₹82,442.
The scooter is also available with a Battery as a Service (BaaS) option, which lowers the initial purchase cost to ₹49,999, while the battery subscription starts from ₹862 per month. The company also provides a 5-Year/70,000 km warranty.
