The American EV maker – Tesla via the X platform has officially announced its entry into the Indian market. Its very first showroom will be introduced this month in the country, and the image shared confirms the location to be in Mumbai.

Tesla’s First India Showroom to be Introduced This Month
Over the past few months, we have been coming across reports concerning Tesla’s arrival to the Indian market, its first showroom in the country, and also about the brand’s first ever recruitment event for India that was conducted back in March 2025. Following all these, it was recently reported that RTO Andheri, Mumbai has issued the trade certificate for Tesla India Motors and Energy Pvt Ltd. Thus the brand is believed to have received the formal permission to both display and promote its EVs in India, and also offer test drives and conduct their sales. Also to add, Tesla’s first Indian showroom is said to be introduced in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) at Maker Maxity – ground floor, while its service center and warehouse is reported to be at the Lodha Logistic Park of Kujupada, Sakinaka, Mumbai. Reports have also stated that Tesla plans to sell its Model Y EV in India following the brand’s launch.
As mentioned, on the official X handle for Tesla India, the American EV maker has officially announced its arrival to the Indian market with the tagline – Coming Soon. The teaser image shared also points to the city of Mumbai in Maharashtra, and the launch time frame is mentioned to be in July 2025 – this month itself. Reportedly, its Mumbai showroom will be inaugurated next week on the 15th of July 2025.
