Tesla Model Y Introduced in India at INR 59,89,000 Starting Price: Available in 6 Different Body Colors

Tesla – the American EV maker has now officially introduced its Model Y EV vehicle for Indian customers. Interested customers can now start ordering the vehicle in the country and along with 6 different body colors, certain other customization and optional features are also available for it.

Tesla Introduces its Model Y EV for Indian Customers

Following the announcement regarding its plan to enter the Indian market, Tesla as expected has introduced its Model Y EV sedan in India. Two variants have been made available via its official website for Indian customers: Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive. The Rear-Wheel Drive variant offers 500km range, 201km/h top speed, and 5.9s 0-100km/h acceleration, whereas the top end Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variant promises 622km range, 201km/h top speed, and 5.6s 0-100km/h acceleration.

The two are priced respectively at INR 59,89,000 and INR 67,89,000 (excluding the 5-year estimated fuel savings of INR 3,43,500). Also, the on-road price for these will be INR 61,07,190 and INR 69,15,190 (in Mumbai, Maharashtra). With the auto loan, Indian customers can get the two variants for INR 1,14,098 per month and INR 1,29,193 per month respectively. Do note, there will be a down payment of INR 6,10,719 and the loan period will be for 60 months with 9.00% APR (Annual Percentage Rate).

Additionally, customers can opt for White interior instead of the Black interior by paying an additional amount of INR 95,000. For self-driving functionality (currently unavailable but with future updates it will be), customers can pay an added price of INR 6,00,000 too. As mentioned, 6 different body colors are available for the Tesla Model Y EV in India, and customers can get it in Stealth Grey, Pearl White Multi-Coat, Diamond Black, Glacier Blue, Quicksilver, and Ultra Red. [However, the 19″ Crossflow Wheels are only available, without an added option.]

Bookings are already live, and it should be done completely in 7 days by paying an amount of INR 3,00,000. Initially, an amount of INR 22,220 will also have to be paid – today on the 15th of July 2025. This deposit amount is also noted to be non-refundable. Customers can book their orders using card payments, UPI QR code, or by UPI collect. Registrations can be done in Delhi, Gurugram (Haryana), and Mumbai (Maharashtra). The estimated delivery time is mentioned to start in Q3 2025.
