Mahindra XEV 9S Officially Unveiled in India at INR 19.95 Lakh: Country’s First Authentic Electric 7-Seater SUV
The Indian automaker – Mahindra today on the 27th of November 2025 officially unveiled its XEV 9S electric SUV for the Indian market. A total of six variants are available for it, and it has been brought out as the country’s first authentic electric 7-seater SUV.

Mahindra’s XEV 9S – Officially Unveiled in the Indian Market
The newly-unveiled Mahindra XEV 9S has been brought out for Indian customers as the country’s very first authentic electric 7-seater SUV and it is built on the INGLO architecture. This latest EV notably promises comfort, space, and a longer range for its users, and it is said to be the brand’s expression of its signature heartcore design philosophy. An athletic stance, glossy finish, clean lines, immersive tech-rich interiors, as well as balanced proportions are its further key aspects.
Speaking more, the INGLO platform brings features such as intelligent adaptive dampers with i-Link at the front + 5-Link independent suspension at the rear, advanced LFP battery that offers 500 km real-life range and lifetime warranty, brake by wire with IEB, and a high power steering with VGR. In terms of space, 4,076 liters of cabin space, 527 liters of boot space, 150 liters of frunk space, and 50:50 split seats for the 3rd row are also on offer.
The Powered Boss Mode, 2nd row ventilated seats, 2nd row sunshades for windows, recline + sliding adjustment, acoustic laminated glass, lounge desk, wireless phone charging, LiveYourMood (3 modes), 7 airbags, L2+ ADAS featuring 5 radars + 1 vision camera, driver drowsiness detection, Secure360 Pro, VisionX, Eyedentity, AutoPark Assist, driver modes (Default, Range, Race, Everyday), 6-way powered memory seats, Captouch steering switches, smart climate control, digital key, NFC, and charge scheduler are its other specs. Entertainment features like the 16-speaker Harmon Kardon Audio with Dolby Atmos, 31.24 cm display, ambient lights, smart climate control, and more are also present.
For an SUV-like experience, 205 meter ground clearance/222 meter battery ground clearance, 10 meter turning circle diameter, 210Kw best-in-segment battery, 380 Nm best-in-class torque, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.0 seconds, and 202 km/h top speed are also being offered on Mahindra’s XEV 9S. Also, Indian customers will be able to enjoy a running cost of just INR 1.2/km, 40 paise/km maintenance cost, negligible road tax, and 40% deprecation benefits (for business owners).
Availability
After adding their preference on the 14th of December 2025, from the 5th of January 2026 onward, interested customers can take the Mahindra XEV 9S for test drives. Bookings will start on the 14th of January 2026, and the deliveries will commence on the 23rd of January 2026. The available models will include: Pack One Above (59kWh, 79kWh), Pack Two Above (70kWh, 79kWh), Pack Three (79kWh), and Pack Three Above (79kWh). The starting price is INR 19.95 lakh and it will go all the way up to INR 29.45 for the top-end model (ex-showroom price*).
