Grok rolling out in Tesla vehicles in Europe

Today, Tesla has officially announced that Grok is now coming to Teslas in the European market.

With the Grok AI integration, Tesla owners can get real-time information and also add/edit navigation destinations. You can talk to Grok, hands-free in your vehicle, issue navigation commands, search for and reach your destination without interacting with your vehicle’s touchscreen.

The initial rollout is taking place in:

  • UK
  • Ireland
  • Germany
  • Switzerland
  • Austria
  • Italy
  • France
  • Portugal
  • Spain

More European countries are expected to follow soon.

Reportedly, your Tesla must have an AMD Ryzen Infotainment processor to be eligible for this integration. This includes Model S (2021+), Model 3 (mid-2021+), Model X (2021+), Model Y (2021+) and Cybertruck (all). The Grok integration is rolling via the over-the-air software update 2026.2.6.

Also, to enable and use Grok, Tesla owners must have Premium connectivity or a stable WiFi connection.

Coming to the privacy concerns, it is revealed that interactions with Grok are securely processed by xAI in line with their privacy notice, while conversations remain anonymous to Tesla and are not linked to you or your vehicle.
