Yesterday, Apple and Formula 1 announced a five-year partnership that will bring all F1 races exclusively to Apple TV in the US beginning next year. Earlier F1 races were broadcast on ESPN, but now Apple has secured the streaming rights.

Reportedly, Apple has paid $750 million for this five-year deal. This deal follows the global success of Apple’s F1: The Movie, which starred Brad Pitt and turned out to be the highest-grossing sports movie of all time.

Apple TV will deliver comprehensive coverage of Formula 1, with all practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions, and Grands Prix available to Apple TV subscribers. Select races and all practice sessions will also be available for free in the Apple TV app throughout the course of the season. In addition to broadcasting Formula 1 on Apple TV, Apple will amplify the sport across Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Fitness+. Apple Sports, the free app for iPhone, will feature live updates for every qualifying, Sprint, and race for each Grand Prix across the season, with real-time leaderboards, season driver and constructor standings, Live Activities to follow on the Lock Screen, and a designated widget for the iPhone Home Screen.

It is revealed that F1’s own premier content offering- F1 TV Premium will continue to be available in the US via an Apple TV subscription only and will be free for those who subscribe.

Apple has announced that additional information, including production details, product enhancements, and all the ways fans will be able to enjoy F1 content across Apple products and services, will be announced in the coming months.

The company also mentioned that after its wide theatrical release this summer, F1: The Movie will make its global streaming debut on Apple TV on December 12, 2025.

In a move that bridges two major entertainment worlds, Supercell’s Clash of Clans is bringing WWE Superstars into its universe as part of a special in-game and real-world crossover. Starting April 1, characters like Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, The Undertaker, and Bianca Belair will appear in the popular mobile strategy game as playable personas, kicking off a month-long celebration that culminates in a custom match sponsorship at WrestleMania 41.

The collaboration includes themed in-game environments, events, cosmetics, and easter eggs referencing WWE’s decades-long history. This marks a first-of-its-kind initiative at this scale for Clash of Clans, which has surpassed 2 billion lifetime downloads since its launch.

Leading the charge is Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who has long been a dedicated player of Clash of Clans and ranks among the top 10% of players globally. He now enters the game as the “Barbarian King,” his in-game persona mirroring his aggressive strategy style.

The Portuguese and Al Nassr forward managed to gain about 1.70 million subscribers within hours after posting his first video. As of now, the channel has 24.4 million subscribers and counting.

With this, Ronaldo broke a record of reaching 10 million subscribers in one day, by overtaking Hamster Kombat, who achieved the same in seven days.

Earlier, he took to the social media platform Instagram and announced the launch of his YouTube channel through a post.

Former Crucible winners Trump and Mark Selby are considered two of the biggest challengers to O’Sullivan’s Triple Crown bid. Trump has won three tournaments this season, with success coming in the English Open, Wuhan Open, and Northern Ireland Open.

The Ace in the Pack is second behind O’Sullivan in the world rankings and may need to win the world title to leapfrog the Rocket into first place in the standings. He’s a three-time Crucible finalist, with his sole success in the tournament coming in 2019.
Only seven players in history have won the World Snooker Championship more times than Selby. The four-time winner is often at his best during the tournament, with the longer matches suiting his game.

The 2024 Australian Open has been given a substantial boost with the news the iconic Rafael Nadal will be returning from injury to feature in the Grand Slam event.

Nadal has endured a tough 2023 with injuries but there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, with the Spaniard expected to feature in the first major competition of 2024 in Melbourne.

A Year To Forget For Nadal

This 2023 season is not one that will live long in the memory of Nadal, his coaching team or his vast number of fans. Nadal, who is +400 in the tennis odds to win the French Open next year, has been sidelined with a hip injury since January. The injury, sustained in his Australian Open second-round defeat at the hands of the American Mackenzie McDonald, required surgery and the 37-year-old has been working hard behind the scenes to get himself back to match fitness.

The work with his medical team looks to have paid off, with Australian Open tournament chief Craig Tiley revealing in October that Nadal will be back in time for the Grand Slam event in January. The Mallorcan star has enjoyed some great times at the major competition in Melbourne, winning the Aussie Open twice in 2009 and 2022. The Grand Slam event has also been handed further boosts in the women’s competition, with Naomi Osaka, Angelique Kerber and Caroline Wozniacki all set to return for the 2024 tournament.

Nadal Looking To Finish On A High

There has been plenty of speculation regarding Nadal’s future and 2024 could possibly be his last season before calling time on what has been nothing short of an illustrious career. With 22 Grand Slam titles, Nadal has been one of the dominant figures in modern tennis, alongside the likes of Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Winning the 2022 Australia Open, Nadal knows that even in this latter stage of his career he can still go deep into this hardcourt event in Melbourne.

Djokovic went close to completing a clean sweep of the Grand Slam events in 2023 but fell just short in the final at Wimbledon. With 24 Grand Slam titles to his name, Djokovic has pulled ahead of Nadal in the standings and the Spaniard will be eager to make up for lost time in 2024.

While 2023 has been a year to forget for Nadal due to injury, there are high hopes for what the veteran player might be able to achieve in the new year. The Australian Open will be a good acid test to see where he’s at, before going again in his beloved French Open at Roland-Garros in May.
