Donald Trump gives ‘blessing’ to TikTok deal involving Oracle, Walmart

At the White House, Trump said he had given his “blessing” to the partnership between the popular video app TikTok and US firms Oracle and Walmart.

US President Donald Trump said he supports a deal that will allow TikTok to continue its operations in the country after threatening to ban the Chinese-owned app in August.

Mr Trump told reporters that he supports the deal with TikTok owner ByteDance, Oracle and Walmart to create a new company that will assume TikTok’s US operations.

At the White House, the 74-year-old leader said he had given his “blessing” to the partnership between the popular video app and US firms Oracle and Walmart.

It should be mentioned here that Trump signed an executive order on August 14 giving ByteDance 90 days to sell TikTok.
