India’s largest iPhone manufacturing plant will be set up near Bengaluru: Check details here!

Since its inception in 1976, Apple Inc. has manufactured computers, iPhones, iPads, and more. The brand has come a long way. During this journey of theirs, they gained immense popularity for their iPhones. iPhones have also become popular in the Indian market over the past decade.

Apple is now setting up India’s biggest manufacturing plant near Bengaluru situated in the Southern state of Karnataka in India. It’s definitely going to be huge not only for its infrastructure but also for the number of employees who will be working in this plant. This iPhone manufacturing will employ 60,000 people. That’s not all. Guess what? The first 6,000 people to be employed will be tribal women from the state of Jharkhand in India. Earlier, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had confirmed the same while speaking at the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas ceremony. This ceremony is conducted to honor the tribals, their sacrifice, and their contribution to the country we so lovingly call India.

The state of Jharkhand is home to several scheduled tribes, 32 to be precise. These tribes are often engaged in occupations such as shifting agriculture or they are settled agriculturists.

This move by Apple in India’s biggest iPhone manufacturing plant will lead to the empowerment of tribal women belonging to the state of Jharkhand. They will be trained for making iPhones. It might boost the Indian economy to a certain extent.

Reportedly, Apple turned its attention towards India after facing restrictions and other issues with their largest iPhone manufacturing factory Foxconn.

Tech enthusiasts are eager to witness the grand opening of this iPhone manufacturing factory soon.
